In case anyone is curious, I've assembled a short video which details the process behind my most recent work.

I'm sure most of you use exactly the same approach: sketch, scan, paint, and upload. The only mildly interesting part is that most of my digital painting is now done on an Apple iPad.

It's "mildly interesting" because painting on an iPad is not that different from painting on a Wacom tablet. There's no pressure sensitivity, of course (which is annoying) -- but the iPad in its current iteration goes a long way toward fulfilling my vague childhood dream of a highly-portable sketchbook / anything-book.

I really can't wait to see what we're using in five years.
